Spinal Adjustments
Chiroparactic manipulation treatment performed by doctors of chiropractic.
Spinal adjustments for children and infants are applied by delivering gentle pressure on the spine to restore proper motion of the vertebrae which will help relax the musculature. The adjustment applied to children are different from adjustments applied to adults. Detecting spinal problems at an early age can prevent many of the problems seen in adults today.
Damage can start at birth. By the time adults consult with their doctor of chiropractic, years of spinal damage and degeneration has occurred. This makes it difficult to get the instant results most patients want. A spinal adjustment delivered to an adult can be done via several techniques including utilization of the hands, specially designed instruments, and specific chiropractic tables. An adult adjustment is delivered in a gentle, brief and highly accurate thrust or with slow and constant pressure.
